
Toronto Police Service partners with Victim Services Toronto and Toronto DIstrict School Board to host Annual Youth Symposium on School Safety,

In partnership with Victim Services Toronto and the Toronto District School Board, the Toronto Police Service will be taking part in the Youth Symposium scheduled for February 24, 2025.
The symposium aims to comprehensively address critical issues surrounding school safety, fostering a secure environment for open and meaningful discussions.
Aligned with National Human Trafficking Awareness Day on February 22, 2025, the symposium will also delve into safety topics related to human trafficking, including discussions on gang violence, consent, and healthy relationships.
Key Features:
Aligned with Curriculum: VST has meticulously developed content in alignment with the Ontario Health and Safety curriculum, ensuring schools meet PPM166 requirements on human trafficking.
Tailored Modules for Every Group: Modules address the unique needs and concerns of students at different developmental stages with diverse speakers from across the world and interactive activities.
Inspiring Voices: Keynote speakers and special guests will provide valuable insights on school safety and violence prevention. Speaker details will be announced in the coming weeks on our social media.
Flexible Learning Experience: Content is pre-uploaded on the Learnworlds platform, allowing educators to tailor the pace of learning to their classrooms. The content will remain accessible for up to two weeks following the event for added convenience.
Every teacher for grades 5-12 in any Toronto school board is encouraged to register for this initiative. Notably, an impressive 22,000 students were in attendance last year.
